JB Business in Kilmallock, Co. Limerick is seeking a friendly and efficient Retail Sales Assistant / Cashier to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable, customer-focused individual to build a stable career in Irish retail, with full training provided and subsidised shared accommodation available locally.
Starting pay is €14.15 per hour. Subsidised shared staff accommodation is offered in the Kilmallock/Bruree area, with rent between €100 and €150 per week. We provide comprehensive training in cash handling, merchandising, and Irish retail standards, along with ongoing support and opportunities to progress within the team.
The role involves serving customers at the till, accurately processing payments and balancing cash drawers, maintaining clean and well-stocked shelves, receiving and checking deliveries, rotating stock to minimise waste, and assisting the deli or bakery with basic food preparation when required. You will work closely with the Person in Charge and the wider store team to keep the shop running smoothly.
We welcome applications from EU citizens and anyone with the legal right to work in Ireland. Previous retail or cash-handling experience is an advantage but not essential — a positive attitude and willingness to learn matter most.

Key Responsibilites:
Serving customers at the till in a welcoming, efficient manner
Accurately processing payments and balancing cash drawers according to policy
Keeping shelves, counters, and back-store areas clean and well-presented
Receiving and checking stock deliveries, updating shelf-edge labels
Rotating products to minimise waste and maintain freshness
Assisting with deli/bakery operations and basic food preparation when required
Supporting the Person in Charge and working effectively as part of the team

Initial interviews are conducted via WhatsApp video call to accommodate international applicants. Successful candidates arrange their own travel to Ireland; collection from Limerick can be arranged on arrival.

Applicants must be legally entitled to work within Ireland and the EU.
Good level of spoken English (interviews conducted in English)
Strong numerical skills and accuracy with cash handling
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Reliable, hygiene-conscious, and detail-oriented
Self-motivated team player with a positive, can-do attitude
Previous retail, cashier, or customer service experience is desirable but not essential
