
Riaditeľ baletu
The Ballet Director, subject to the prior agreement with and approval by the General Manager (Intendant) shall:
- direct and oversee the work of the Ballet Department,
- coordinate the work of Ballet employees and the Ballet Department’s cooperation with other organizational units of the Theatre,
- proposes and implement the adopted artistic plan and programme of the Ballet Department,
- ensure the timely implementation of the adopted artistic plan and programme,- ensures that the adopted artistic plan and programme is implemented in the most cost-effective manner and within the approved financial framework,
- proposes and implements measures aimed at enhancing the artistic quality of the soloists and the ensemble.
The Baller Director shall also undertake all activities necessary for the implementation of the adopted Ballet repertoire plan including:
- proposing and arranging the engagement of artists required for the implementation of the of the repertoire plan,
- proposing and arranging the engagement of creative teams and determining casting assignments in order to realise the adopted repertoire plan in the highest artistic level,
- ensures the timely fulfilment of duties and assignments by individual artists, soloists and members of ensemble.
The Ballet Director shall perform any duties falling within the scope of the position as agreed with the General Manager (Intendant).
Required education: Completed secondary ballet education in the Republic of Croatia or abroad, or another equivalent ballet or dance school providing the required professional qualifications.
Required work experience: Candidates holding a secondary ballet or dance school qualification must have a minimum of 10 years of professional experience in ballet and dance theatre arts in Croatia and abroad; as well as recognised artistic achievements evidenced by awards and distinctions. Candidates holding a higher education degree or university diploma in ballet or dance studies must have a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in ballet and dance theatre arts; as well as recognised artistic achievements evidenced by awards and distinctions.
Language Requirements: Active command of English and one additional foreign language.
Additional Requirements: Recognised professional standing and reputation in the field of ballet arts.

Candidates will be informed of the outcome of selection procedure via the Theatre’s website. The Theatre reserves the right not to appoint any candidate and to cancel the selection procedure.
- Salary 2.800 € (additional 0,5% on work experience).
