Welcome to department for Fuel Injection Equipment
You will join a team of 10 designers with a brought variety of backgrounds. We have an open culture and thrive on challenges and at times at a fast pace. We support each other in an environment, where we take united responsibility for our engine designs long after they have left the drawing board and entered service. In discussions, the ceiling is high, and ideas can be lifted and analyzed together in a positive and constructive atmosphere.

Fuel Injection Equipment
Do you want to take part in the journey for decarbonizing two-stroke propulsion engines, and help the green transition for the global fleet of vessels, which moves the majority of the world’s cargo?
At MAN Energy Solutions we are designing fuel injection equipment for low-carbon fuels of the future such as methanol and ammonia. By leveraging our vast experience along with innovative and creative development, we seek to change the traditional way of fueling two-stroke engines for the maritime industry.
Our construction and design department are looking for a Mechanical Engineer, who has interest in engine and mechanical design, as well as flair for documentation, coordination, and project work.

You will be part of:
As our new Production Technologist you can look forward, working within the design department of fuel injection equipment. Here the responsibility covers a palette of various injection equipment, plus lay-out of control and high pressure pipe systems for large two-stroke marine engines.
You will work within a unique field of technology, which sets a high standard and requires design with high mechanical reliability. You will take part in constructing new and optimize existing engine components, as well as generate ideas and develop designs in corporation with your team.
Since our products are mostly produced and build by licensee overseas, the design department plays a significant role in supporting our engine licensees with necessary documentation, sparring about production challenges, and nonconformities. Cooperation and communication with manufacturers of engine components will therefore be another vital aspect of your work.
You will play an important role in:
- Design of control and high pressure pipe systems for various fuel injection technologies by means of CAD tools and calculations.
- Ensuring that the design is compliant with the requirement specification and rules.
- Conducting necessary documentation and communication in relation to each design task.
- Being creative and bringing new ideas and perspectives to the way we work.
- Organizing and participating in meetings with colleagues and external partners.
- Troubleshoot on design issues on existing equipment together with other departments.
You will be trained in technical areas that are necessary for managing the tasks and responsibilities in the department. The training will be organized in accordance with specific needs depending on your profile.

- Bring an enthusiastic mindset that can help us achieve a green transition for the future of two-stroke marine engines.
- Hold an education as Production Technologist with a flair for mechanical design, administration, and coordination. Background as skilled technician can be an advantage.
- Find joy in sparing with your colleagues and/or other stakeholders, sharing your ideas, experience, and input to ongoing activities.
- Have knowledge to translate theory into the practical design by 3D drawing program – we use Siemens NX.
- Ideally have some experience with project orientated work with cross-functional cooperation between different stakeholders.
- Solid English skills both oral and written are required. It is preferable that you also understand Danish on a reasonable level, but not a requirement.
