The Balet Master:
Leads rehearsals with soloists and the ensemble and ensures the highest technical and artistic standards of the dancers and the performance. Conducts daily conditioning classes and and maintain the technical standards of the dancers. Makes necessary adjustments to staging and performance arrangements when required (e.g. illnessn or reduced number of dancers). Be on duty during performaces and sign the performance report prepared by the stage manager. Participate in all theatre projects and events as required. The Ballet Master shall perform any duties within the scope of the position.

Required qualifications: Completed undergraduate and graduate university studies, or an integrated undergraduate and graduate university program in an artistic field, o ran equivalent higher education qualification in the field of arts.

Filed of Study: Academy of Arts, ballet/dance.

Required work experience: A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in ballet theatre work.

Language Requirements: Active command of English.

Required Special Experience, Knowledge, and Profesional Standing: Recognised professional standing and established reputation in the field of ballet and dance. Distinguished principal ballet soloist.

Special Requirements: Successful completion of an audition prior to employment. Probation period of 6 months.
