Global Procurement Commodity Lead, Hardware

Vestas Global Procurement is an award-winning best in class Procurement function. We are overall responsible for all Procurement activities within Vestas Wind System A/S, the global leader in the Wind Industry, including Strategy development and implementation, Value creation initiatives, negotiations, Supplier Relationship Management and Supplier Account Management. Our Procurement organization consist of app. 600 dedicated employees spread out across the globe, with app. 120 employees located in the headquarter in Aarhus, Denmark.

You will be an important part of the Software Category, which is responsible for Vestas’s global procurement of Software and platforms to support the digitalization journey for Vestas, and with a yearly spend around 100 mio. euro. You will report to the Senior Manager for Global IT Procurement, playing a key role in setting the direction for the area and ensuring that Vestas has the best agreements and solutions towards our internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Develop the collaboration with strategic software suppliers, eg Microsoft, and secure the development of the right solutions globally. •    Develop and implement, focusing on capturing the full value potential of our global agreements. •    Develop and install worldclass supplier collaboration with internal stakeholders, as well as creating an effective category structure across all the relevant areas. •    Be a key member of the Global IT Procurement team. Represent the procurement team and act as an ambassador towards internal and external Stakeholders. •    Lead global software negotiations •     Set direction and plan execution across the category. •    Ensure that Vestas gets the maximum value and savings out of supplier cooperations and at the same time be an important member in developing world class solutions for Vestas together with our internal and external stakeholders and continue to build an environment with lots of enthusiasm, speed, great results, smile and fun.

•    You have several years of procurement experience, including being part of culturally diverse and global teams. •    You have significant experience negotiating software contracts and understand the complexities of such contracts with respect to commercial and legal risks. •    You have experience with category management, including guiding cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and large complex suppliers. •    You have a good theoretical background within Procurement, Finance or Supply chain. •    You are a great negotiator who lives for delivering the expected savings, solutions and do not take no for an answer. •    Background in IT procurement is necessary
