As a Customs Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring seamless and compliant cross-border operations, directly impacting the company’s cost efficiency and regulatory adherence. This role offers a dynamic environment where your expertise will support accurate customs declarations, effective communication with external partners, and continuous improvement of internal customs procedures. You will collaborate closely with colleagues across borders, including teams in Norway, Denmark, Sweden, and Barcelona, contributing to a truly international working environment. In this role you will be responsible for:
- General support on customs related inquiries.
- Conduct customs declaration audits and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Classify goods and maintain accurate HS codes.
- Collaborate with freight forwarders and customs brokers for smooth clearance.
- Review customs invoices and analyze duty costs to identify savings.
- Monitor customs legislation and implement process improvements.
- Support internal teams with customs guidance and training materials.
You are our ideal candidate if:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Very good research and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage data accurately within the systems.
- Experience in customs area preferred.
- Team player with the ability to work effectively and collaborate with peers and other departments, but also able to work individually.
- Proactive, structured, efficient, and with high work capacity.
- Fluent in English, verbal and written.
