AutoCAD Technician

David Kennedy Recruitment is working with a leading electrical contractor that is looking to recruit an English speaking AutoCAD Technician to join their team.

• Use AutoCAD and Revit software to produce collaborative models and associated drawings
• Liaise with Commercial Manager, Contracts Manager, and Senior Electrical Estimator
• Input model elements with required detail (graphic & data)
• Monitor/checking if there are any clashes – Producing weekly clash reports
• Coordinate and monitor Incoming/shared models
• Produce Images, Drawings as required by Contracts Manager
• Explore BIM modelling and creation using Revit and AutoCAD
• Coordination of mechanical & electrical elements and asset data
• Production of as-built drawings and model
• Production of Asset Information Model
• Produce AutoCAD mechanical and electrical schematics.

• An electrical background (ideally a Qualified Electrician or holding an
  Electrical Engineering Degree) is preferred
• 2+ years’ active project experience producing construction documents using AutoCAD Revit
• Experience with Commercial Building Projects, Industrial Plants and Data Centre Projects is considered as an advantage
• Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD 2D and Navisworks Manage
• Site Experience is desired
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers in order to secure competitive prices
• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
• High level of competency in the use of MS Office packages
• Excellent verbal, written and numerical skills
• Ability to multi-task and maintain composure in a demanding environment
• Excellent negotiation skills
• Excellent decision-making skills
• Ability to work as a team player with a positive, ‘can do’ attitude
• Eligible to work in Ireland/EU.

• Excellent remuneration package based on experience, skills and performance
• Salary: €27,000 to €32,000 per annum depending on experience.
