- Lead and mentor a team of AI engineers, fostering innovation and technical excellence.
- Define and oversee the roadmap for AI development, ensuring alignment with openchip’s long-term vision.
- Architect and implement scalable backend systems that support AI-driven functionalities, leveraging modern frameworks and methodologies.
- Optimize AI workloads for custom silicon, working closely with hardware and software teams.
- Research and integrate advanced AI techniques such as reinforcement learning, self-supervised learning, and federated learning.
- Design and manage distributed AI systems, ensuring efficient training and inference for large-scale models.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to co-develop AI solutions that enhance chip performance and efficiency.
- Stay ahead of AI trends and contribute to openchip’s AI research and development strategy.
- Represent openchip in conferences, research collaborations, and industry partnerships.
Qualifications:
- BSc, MSc or PhD in computer science, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in leading AI/ML teams and delivering AI-based solutions in a production environment.
- Strong programming skills in python (go, c++ is a plus), with expertise in ML frameworks like tensorflow, pytorch, jax.
- Deep understanding of AI model optimization, deployment, and scaling strategies.
- Experience in multi-agent systems, reinforcement learning, and llm-based architectures is a plus.
- Familiarity with AI-powered backend development, distributed computing, and cloud-based AI deployment.
- Knowledge of hardware/software co-design and AI acceleration techniques is highly desirable.
- Fluent in English (mandatory), proficiency in other European languages is a plus.
- The position will be based in Barcelona (Spain)-hybrid environment with flexible scheduling.
- We offer a remuneration that values your experience. Remuneration basis – fix base paid. Salary 2250 – 4165 € per month.
