{"id":23021,"date":"2025-09-26T11:43:59","date_gmt":"2025-09-26T09:43:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.eures.sk\/employing-eu-eea-and-swiss-citizens-in-slovakia\/"},"modified":"2025-09-26T11:44:04","modified_gmt":"2025-09-26T09:44:04","slug":"employing-eu-eea-and-swiss-citizens-in-slovakia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.eures.sk\/en\/employing-eu-eea-and-swiss-citizens-in-slovakia\/","title":{"rendered":"Employing EU\/EEA and Swiss citizens in Slovakia"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>EU\/EEA and Swiss citizens can be employed in Slovakia <strong>under the same conditions as Slovak citizens<\/strong>. <strong>No work or any other permit<\/strong> is needed in order to be able to work. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Though, the <strong>employer<\/strong> is <strong>obliged<\/strong> according to \u00a7 23b par.5 of the Act on Employment Services to <strong>report<\/strong> to the local Office of Labour, Social Affairs and Family <strong>the commencement and termination of the employment relationship or the beginning and end of posting<\/strong> of a\u00a0worker to perform work in the Slovak Republic. The obligation has to be fulfilled <strong>within 7 working days <\/strong>from the start\/end of employment\/posting by submitting an Information Card electronically through the central public administration portal <a href=\"https:\/\/www.slovensko.sk\/en\/title\">slovensko.sk<\/a> . <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The competent Office of Labour, Social Affairs and Family means the office in whose territorial district an EU citizen will be employed or will carry out work as a posted worker. That means that the place of employment\/work, not the employer&#8217;s registered office is decisive.
