EURES JOB DAY

The EURES JOB DAY international job fair, which took place on April 20, 2023 in Prešov’s M Arena, was attended by 50 exhibitors, 23 of them from Slovakia and 27 from abroad. Employers offered 1,619 job vacancies predominantly within the hospitality, industry, logistics, IT and seasonal works.

Our colleagues, EURES advisers from Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, the Netherlands, Germany, Austria and Sweden provided updated information on living and working conditions in their home countries, as well as advice and assistance with a job search.

3,224 people mainly from the Prešov and Košice self-governing regions were looking for a job on EURES Job Day. Visitors showed the greatest interest in jobs in the hotel industry, gastronomy, administration and manufacturing. Students and graduates were interested in job opportunities for the summer season.

Employers very positively evaluated not only the organization of the event, but also the quantity and especially the quality of job seekers. EURES JOB DAY in Prešov exceeded the expectations of the organizers in every way, surprised with high attendance and provided proof of the necessity and importance of organizing such events, which create space for personal meetings of job seekers with employers.
