Free movement of workers in EU/EEA countries guarantees their citizens to employ in all the Member States through widening their opportunities to apply on enlarged European labour market. In order to promote job mobility specialized job portals were created to help people who want to work in EU/EEA countries can find useful information about living and working conditions as well as access to the database of thousands of job vacancies.

Clients looking for jobs in EU/EEA countries should visit European Job Mobility Portal (http://ec.europa.eu/eures/) or its national versions. There is www.eures.sk in Slovakia which provides a number of services:

  • You can register your CV by putting your name and password and you will become a part of database from which the registered employers and EURES advisers can choose suitable candidates for advertised positions. Entering your mobile number or e-mail address you can be even notified about suitable vacancy through SMS or e-mail. You can find here also samples of national CV models.
  • You can search for advertised vacancies on www.eures.sk simply by browsing according to the employment sector or the country in which you would like to work. The more pre selections you make, the faster you can find the desired position. Clicking on its headline you will find the precise information about the job as well as the contact details about the employer.
  • Living & Working conditions are not the same in all of the EU/EEA countries. Think of it before your departure and try to get know as much as possible about them also through reading on www.eures.sk (in Slovak language) or on http://ec.europa.eu/eures/home.jsp?lang=en (in other languages).
